Changing roles is daunting, unsettling and complicated, regardless of post qualification experience. For trainees approaching the end of their training contract, it can be particularly unnerving. It's very time-consuming too. Evaluating options, drafting your CV, preparing for and attending interviews while balancing the demands of a busy transaction or case is a challenge.


Our deep appreciation of the difficulties of moving role as a lawyer means we are always on hand to guide you through the entire process. We strive to make the process easier, quicker and more successful. By learning what your objectives are, and combining this with our deep understanding of the industry, we identify suitable roles for you. As you share more with us we can help more, by identifying the businesses or firms whose partners advise on matters which match your interests. 


We don't sell roles or attempt to coerce you. Instead, we guide you through the entire process, providing you with the assistance, information and commercial advice you need to make an informed decision. We deliver our service with complete discretion and behave in a way which generates trust in recruiters, not undermines it.

What we do 
We advise each lawyer that we work with on a wide variety of topics, not just the opportunities which may suit you but also on the workstreams associated with a move. To make the process easier and simpler, we work for you and:
  • assist you with the drafting of the CV;
  • prepare you for every interview comprehensively;
  • commit to obtaining feedback; 
  • help you secure the offer you want as quickly as possible by communicating your needs and any competing offers to the firm delicately; 
  • advise on post-offer matters, including the resignation process;
  • advise on the preparation of the conflict questionnaires (of particular importance when moving to a US firm); and
  • following your move, we make sure that your transition is managed effectively.
It is not possible to deliver this service to large numbers of candidates. That's why we limit the number of lawyers we work with to ensure that we are always able to offer our signature service to each person that engages us, whether it is a fourth seat trainee, an associate or partner.
